Interview Questions

Will I need to attend an interview ?

Ans:-     Yes. The applicant and spouse (where applicable) will generally be required to attend the selection interview. In some cases, the requirement for a spouse to attend the selection interview, can be waived. As well, visa officer may ask the dependent children over the age of 19 years, attend the immigration selection interview.

         How interview takes place?

Ans:-     An interview would be scheduled to determine whether an applicant will demonstrate favourable personal attributes including preparation, motivation, initiative, resourcefulness etc. which are the criteria used to assess personal suitability. The interview may be conducted to check the authenticity of the information contained in the documentation submitted; to confirm an applicant possesses the necessary funds to settle in Canada; to verify the absence of security inadmissibilities; to determine the applicant is intending to enter the Canadian labour market in an “open” occupation (rather than take on a student status) to verify whether there are sufficient grounds to exercise positive discretion; etc.

Will I have to go for a personal interview with a visa officer for this visa to be issued?

Ans:-    Some of our clients were interviewed and some were not. Our first preference is always to get the interview waived but as you can understand, that is not always possible. However, if our client is to be interviewed then Taurus Infotek. will prepare the client for the interview with the Canadian visa officer. Our current success rate is 90%. We believe that our acceptance rate is exceptionally high due to numerous factors. We are very selective about our clients we accept, our submissions to the visa office tend to lead the office in a positive direction and lastly our experience in preparing our clients for an interview.

         What is an interview waiver?

Ans:-     It is the highly discretionary aspect of the Regulations and is largely a function of the visa office in question and the qualifications of a particular applicant. If personal interview is required by the visa office you will have to attend it.

Who must attend the selection interview?

Ans:-     The applicant and spouse (where applicable), will generally be required to travel to the processing visa office and attend the selection interview. In some cases, the requirement for a spouse to attend the selection interview can be waived.

As well, certain posts require that accompanying dependant children over the age of 19 years attend the immigration selection interview. The selection of the processing visa office is therefore one factor in determining who must attend the selection interview.
